General Manager (GMIT)

Objective Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company has an immediate opening for our General Manager program (GMIT) for our Prescott, AZ market.
We are looking for candidates that have 5-10 years of management experience with a background in building materials who can help grow our markets.
Throughout this program, you will become accustomed to the essential duties and responsibilities of our operations, gain knowledge about company policies and procedures, allowing you to quickly step into the next General Manager role within our company.
The ideal General Manager program candidate will have a minimum of five years of general management experience in building materials and have the ability to relocate to any of the five states that we currently operate in.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the Job.
Other duties, responsibilities, or tasks may be assigned as required by management.
Help to optimize sales and profits at the assigned operation.
Develop goals and objectives in conjunction with the Regional Vice President.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
Provide quality customer service through personal interaction with clients and associates.
Promote awareness of the Company and its products and services.
Manage inventory, property, and equipment to ensure the Company's assets are adequately protected and to increase returns and minimize shrink.
Identify trends and take proactive or remedial action to handle business situations.
Ensure the operation is staffed with qualified, motivated, and engaged associates.
Develop and train to maximum potential through regular coaching and training from the General Manager and RVP.
Learn, understand, and utilize FG's policies and procedures, General Manager duties and responsibilities, and become well-versed in FG's software systems (BisTrack, UKG, etc.
).
Attend and participate in all Company-sponsored training programs as required.
Perform any other duties, responsibilities, or tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of five years of related experience.
Industry knowledge of building materials and hardlines products is required.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Office, such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
Qualifications Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and the ability to read engineering drawings.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents.
The Associate must have a valid Driver's License issued by the state of residence and acceptable driving record.
Ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
