00Manage and schedule work related to the college's central plant operations.
Develop, implement and audit processes related to energy management, work orders, space scheduling in order to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Develop, implement, and provide technical assistance with processes that support YC facilities and operations- Develops specification and prepares cost estimates for the selection, application and installation of mechanical equipment.
Reviews mechanical plans submitted by outside consultants or architects.
Ensures that the mechanical systems meet college requirements, comply with building codes, insurance stipulations and OSHA requirements.
Coordinates with contractors or installers of mechanical systems.
- Assist with short and long range Facilities Condition Index (FCI) as well Capital Improvement (CIP) and Preventive Maintenance Plan (PMP) implementation plans which included performing inspections of roofs, gutters, ceilings, lights, HVAC, electrical and other building systems.
- Participate in plans for systems replacements by creating plans to modernize/standardize equipment- Perform basic construction inspections of YC systems- Improve processes for the following areas/systems:
Room scheduling and usage, work order efficiency, travel time, inventory, lighting and HVAC.
- Perform duties related to energy tracking and conservation programs- Manage a staff of supervisors and technicians that perform duties related to plant operations, maintenance, building automation controls.
Evaluate staff members work performance.
Minimum Expectations & Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college/university with major course work in engineering fields, business, management, construction management, project management, information technology or closely related field and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively complex full time professional work experience in physical plant management and performing business process mapping (BPM), gathering, compiling and organizing business requirements including developing and managing applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Or a combination of education and ten years progressively complex, full-time professional work experience in these areas.
- Ability to exercise interpersonal skills which include demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy- Ability to work well with administration, co-workers, external stakeholders to create value and buy-in as part of key changes needed to drive improvements/transformations- Ability to create new processes and implement them with existing YC systems- Certification/knowledge in Six Sigma, Value Stream mapping and/or other certification programs which show ability to streamline through process engineering- Demonstrate ability to examine data/information to identify trends, relationships and causal factors as well as draw accurate conclusions and solve problems- Ability to comply with safety standards and best practices.
- Skill with construction inspections- Knowledgable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)- Knowledgeable of basic operation of Building Automation Systems (such as Metasys) Preferred Skills & Abilities - Master's degree Essential Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Compensation is added to the employee's regular pay at the rate of $175 per month.
